Safeway Price Accuracy Guarantee

This is something that has been around for many years but for some reason not to many people know about. Did you know that Safeway has a Price Accuracy Guarantee? This is valid for all California Safeway affliates (Vons, Pavilions and Safeway)

Here’s how it works: 

•  If the price paid is higher than the lowest advertised price and the item is below $5, you receive it for free. If the item is over $5, you pay the lowest price and receive a $5 gift card.
• If you are overcharged for more than one of the same item, the free item or gift card is limited to one.
• If you are overcharged for two or more DIFFERENT items– the free item or gift card policy applies to the highest paid product.

Only thing about this is that you must catch it before you leave the store. Approach a manager and don’t try to to fight a cashier about it at the register.
